Galaxy types nms

There are only 4 types of galaxy, and the type determines the frequency of certain planet types spawning in yellow star systems in that galaxy. Normal, like Euclid. This is by far the most common type. Ancestral, like Budullangr. This type has a higher chance of spawning dead and exotic type worlds in yellow star systems. Harsh, like Calypso.

Galaxy types nms. Galaxies fall into one of four categories: Normal, Harsh, Lush, and Empty, with the type affecting chances of different typed planets. Normal is, as the name suggests, the baseline, and what the first galaxy has. Harsh is, from what I've read, normal but higher chance of planets being "extreme weather" variants.

Final verdict is that different galaxies just have different probabilities for types of planets appearing. So if you want a specific kind of planet more regularly, go to that type of galaxy. For example, if you want to go to more Lush planets, go to the Lush Galaxy. See Galaxy types and probabilities at link below.
