Litter robot cat sensor timing

Cat sensor timing not working. Got a litter robot about 2 months ago, not had any issues with it so far. This week it’s started to not recognise when there is a cat in there (timing light not flashing red for example) and we have to manually press the cycle button. Any ideas why this might be happening.
