Check the EGR valve actuators. They got sticky on mine and wouldnt open all the way and i had to get it cleaned to unbork the problem. Also if the EGR has not been cleaned in a while have it pulled, cleaned and inspected as a whole. Lastly have your system tested for leaks. 1. Remove the plug (5) to access the connecting pipe with seal behind it. 2. Fit an M6 bolt in the connecting pipe with seal to pull it out of the engine block as shown. 3. Look for corrosion/excessive build up. Any corrosion or pitting in the venture will affect EGR gas mapping. Check EGR Differential pressure sensor. make sure both lines are clear and not plugged. make sure O-ring to sensor is not cut/damaged. If you haven't cleaned out the EGR cooler in the past 200K miles, do it.
